Former mayor Ray Nagin gained international notoriety in the days following hurricane Katrina. He will be most remembered for his curious and often controversial comments. The Ray Nagin Coloring Book chronicles the mayor's second term through Ocker's witty drawings inspired by Ray's on-the-record quotes like, “this city will be chocolate at the end of the day,” “I stand before you a vagina friendly mayor,” and “[violent crime] keeps the New Orleans brand out there” and more memorable post-Katrina moments like the former mayor’s swine flu quarantine during a trip to China, his trips to Jamaica and Hawaii courtesy of former chief technology officer Greg Meffert, transparency and the fate of the former mayor's emails, direct flights to Cuba and the ongoing federal probe into crime camera contracts.
